MyEndoscope Receives the Audience Award at NEDO NEP-Lab

Nao Sumi, project lead of MyEndoscope, presented “Development of a Portable Endoscopy Training System” at NEDO NEP-Lab, where the project received the Audience Award. (NEP)

The presentation highlighted a persistent challenge in endoscopy education: many physicians begin performing therapeutic procedures without sufficient opportunities for repeated practice in a safe, off-the-job environment.

MyEndoscope addresses this challenge by combining a portable physical controller with simulation software, allowing users to progressively learn endoscope operation and therapeutic techniques without always requiring access to specialized facilities or an instructor.

Receiving the Audience Award demonstrated broad interest in both the scale of the educational challenge and the practical potential of the solution proposed by MyEndoscope.

IKEIKEN will continue collaborating with healthcare professionals, educational institutions, and medical device companies to validate the training system and advance its development.
